Description
Blast off into the golden age of science fiction with this Tom Corbett Space Cadet t-shirt, featuring classic artwork taken directly from a vintage Dell comic book.
Before Kirk and Spock made it cool, Tom Corbett was training the first generation of space explorers. From 1950 to 1955, Tom, Astro, and Roger Manning captured the imaginations of American kids across television, radio, books, and comics as they trained at Space Academy and cruised the solar system aboard the rocket cruiser Polaris .
The illustration on this shirt comes from the Dell Comics run of the early 1950s. These comics featured painted covers and dynamic interior art from illustrators like Paul Norris and Frank Thorne, bringing the adventures of the Solar Guard to vivid life on newsstands across the country .
